Snell Family Project Rebound Scholarship

Project Rebound was originally established in the late 1960s at San Francisco State University by the late Dr. John Irwin. He realized personally how education could change the trajectories of those involved in the Criminal Justice System. Education would help them establish lasting pro-social pathways back into their communities as productive members of society and essential components to reducing recidivism and victimization. This program at San Francisco State has expanded to California State University Fresno.

A scholarship fund has been established by the Snell Family to support students participating in Project Rebound Program at Fresno State. Applicants must provide a certification letter from the Project Rebound Program Coordinator stating he/she has committed to participation in the program. Applicants will also need to submit a 300-word essay detailing how they plan to use their Project Rebound experience to help others. Recipients of this award must be currently enrolled as a full-time student and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
