James Winter Memorial Brass Scholarship

Scholarships shall be awarded to undergraduate music majors studying Brass Instruments with emphasis on teaching and/or performance, demonstrating talent, musicianship, personal focus, and high degree of dedication required to succeed at the professional level in Brass Instrument performance or teaching. Students must be enrolled full-time and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Emphasis in the program of study must be on brass instrument performance and/or teaching with specialization in the trumpet, horn, trombone or tuba. Student must be taking regular private lessons with Fresno State brass instrument faculty, and be a regular member of one or more relevant Fresno State ensembles (orchestra, wind ensemble, brass choir, etc.). If no undergraduate student meet these criteria, a graduate student may be considered.
