Bulldog Infrastructure Group Scholarship in Outstanding Achievement in Community Outreach, Education, and Promotion of Energy Efficiency

The Bulldog Infrastructure Group, LLC (BIG), is a collaboration of industry experts (Noresco and a Meridiam-led consortium), dedicated to providing innovative and reliable solutions that improve the energy efficiency of existing infrastructures and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Fresno State selected BIG as the developer for a 33-year public-private partnership (P3) contract to modernize and maintain Fresno State’s central utility infrastructure system. The contract will address the campus hot and chilled water generation and distribution piping network, providing energy-efficient and reliable heating and cooling for more than 25,000 students, faculty, and staff. In addition to the construction of a new central utility plant, the project includes photovoltaic solar panels that will be built over existing campus parking lots to generate clean energy and energy conservation measures within buildings to reduce campus energy usage and carbon footprint.

BIG hopes to use this project to inspire members of the Fresno State community to increase sustainability efforts on campus and at home. This scholarship is intended for students who are planning to use their academic studies, community involvements, leadership roles, and work experience to learn more about technical solutions and opportunities to positively impact energy efficiency, climate change, and other forms of conservation.
