Verne D. Delaney Vocal Music Scholarship

Scholarships shall be awarded to one or more students demonstrating overall excellence and accomplishment in a vocal and/or choral conducting major. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in their major (vocal music and/or choral conducting) and a 3.0 overall GPA. Students must also have a financial need. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation from a professional vocal teacher and/or choral conductor and proof of ability (audition). Previous year’s recipients are eligible to receive repeat or subsequent year’s funding provided they continue to meet all other scholarship requirements.

This scholarship opportunity has a financial need requirement. To qualify for this scholarship opportunity, applicants must also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the California Dream Application, and have a calculated financial need analysis done by Fresno State prior to the scholarship application deadline. When the Financial Aid Office receives and processes the FAFSA, a financial need calculation will automatically be uploaded to your scholarship application. The financial need of an applicant is based on the current academic year data when the student applied for the scholarship.
