The opportunities listed in this directory are Fresno State scholarships that are offered by various departments, schools, colleges, and programs. In order to be considered for a Fresno State scholarship, students must be a continuing student or a new student who has applied for admission for the 2026/2027 academic year. Before you attempt to apply for Fresno State scholarships, please make sure you have received a Fresno State Student I.D. number and have activated your MyFresnoState account with a valid email address. All scholarship applicants must use their Fresno State username and password to access the scholarship application. To apply to any of the scholarships listed below, click the “Sign In” button on this page to begin.

The scholarship application period for Fresno State begins October 1, 2025 and closes on March 2, 2026 at 11:59pm (PT). This application period is for current year scholarship opportunities that may become available during the 2025/2026 academic year, but majority of scholarship opportunities listed are for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. More than half of the scholarship opportunities listed in the directory only require the Fresno State general scholarship application to be submitted. However, some apply-to scholarships require applicants to submit additional information about themselves in order to qualify for an opportunity.

The scholarship opportunities listed on this site are organized alphabetically and by the scholarship deadline. You can also “Search by Keyword” (e.g. veteran, community service, major, first generation college student, etc.) or by clicking the “Show Filters” button to search by “Scopes” (scholarships grouped by department name, school, college, or organization) you wish to view.

Award Notification Process
Scholarship awards are determined after the posted application deadline has passed. Applicants are responsible for regularly monitoring their Fresno State email account for award notifications. Students selected to receive a scholarship will be notified via a congratulatory email notification with instructions to log in to their scholarship application to view the award details. Recipients must formally accept or decline the scholarship offer by the deadline indicated in the notification email. Failure to respond by the stated deadline may result in the cancellation of the award, which may then be offered to an alternate candidate identified as equally deserving. Please note: Only students who are selected to receive a scholarship will receive notification. There is no notification sent to applicants who were not selected.
